The m-Institute's Proprietary Technology: The Microgrinder
The cornerstone of the m-Institute’s technology platform, the Microgrinder is a proprietary innovation developed through over 15 years of research. It offers a uniquely effective solution for processing natural substances into ultra-fine powders—achieving particle sizes as small as 1–5 μm without heat damage or nutrient loss.
Using an innovative milling system, the Microgrinder preserves sensitive bioactive compounds, enhances bioavailability, and supports the creation of pure, high-quality natural ingredients. It enables both new product development and the enhancement of existing formulations—while also maximizing efficiency, reducing waste, saving time and costs, and contributing to sustainable innovation by unlocking value from underused natural materials.
Primary Objectives
The primary aim of grinding natural substances is to achieve smaller particle sizes for improved absorption and solubility, while retaining active compounds and nutrients. The Microgrinder, through specialized technology, consistently produces particles ranging from 5-8 ÎĽm, ensuring optimal content selection and a pure extract rich in bioactive elements. Developed by the m-Institute, it enhances the bioavailability of natural products, crucial for maximizing nutrient utilization and storage in the body. Better bioavailability means better bioaccessibility, absorption, metabolism, and bioactivity.
The Issue with Traditional Practices
Traditional milling technologies often damage sensitive materials with high concentrations of bioactive components due to friction and heat, which can often reach temperatures of 25-80°C, during the process of trying to obtain smaller particle sizes. This can lead to loss of bioactivity and decreased product efficacy.
Our Revolutionary Innovation
In contrast, the Microgrinder utilizes significantly less heat, resulting in increased bioactivity and bioavailability of the ground products while preserving the phytochemical and nutritional integrity of the ground product. Smaller particle sizes facilitate greater bioavailability and absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. Our environmentally friendly technology allows for the utilization of inedible or unusable co-products (often called waste), which can be re-used and transformed into new marketable products.
